The Western Historic Radio Museum features comprehensive displays of antique radios and equipment, from early wireless spark-gap apparatus to the groovy radios of the 1950s.
This Victorian, four-story wooden school is dedicated to telling the real story of the Old West. Step back in time when you enter the authentically preserved 1870s building with original furnishings. The museum features exhibits on Comstock history, mining, journalism, alumni and ethnicity.
Learn about the history of firefighting in the area and wider Nevada at the Comstock Fireman's Museum. Antique fire wagons, uniforms and a variety of interesting artifacts are on display.
Learn about Virginia City's "Bonanza" days through the museum's impressive collection of Comstock mining artifacts, historic photos, lithographs and maps. The museum is open daily (except Christmas), from 10am to 6pm.
The Comstock History Center is located in a building designed after railroad and mining structures that were built in the area. Visitors to the center will see the original Virginia & Truckee Railroad engine #18, historic photographs and temporary exhibitions. The Comstock History Center is open from 10am to 3pm, Thursday to Sunday.
